Picture Thanthima

Thanthima is a HealthPros fellow and an early stage researcher at the Department of Clinical and Experimental Medicine, University of Surrey. She obtained an MSc (Research) in clinical and psychosocial epidemiology from the University of Groningen, the Netherlands and a BPharm degree at Chulalongkorn University, Thailand. Currently, in addition to her research duties, she is also a member of the Student Editorial Board of the International Journal of Medical Students (IJMS).

Her research experience comprises conducting a systematic review and meta-analysis, a survival analysis, in particular competing risks and multi-state model, a cost-utility analysis including a risk-sharing scheme, and an incorporating economy of scale in the framework of the economic evaluation study. Before joining HealthPros network, she was taking part in the development process of the Thai National List of Essential Medicines (NLEM)—the pharmaceutical reimbursement list in Thailand. At that time, she supervised the government officers to conduct health technology assessments in Thailand and in other low- and middle-income countries i.e. Vietnam, Nepal and the Philippines to support decisions and plans in health systems.
