Véronique Bos, MA, BSc, is a HealthPros fellow and a PhD candidate at the Amsterdam UMC on ‘Creating evidence-based actionable Healthcare performance intelligence for integrated care in the Netherlands’. She has a background in operational and project management in Dutch hospitals. Healthcare has been her interest ever since she started a summer job working as a nutrition assistant in the hospital during her Health Sciences studies. Working on a project in the OVLG Cardiology unit to prepare them for accreditation she found an interest in health care governance and decided to do her Masters in International Healthcare Management in Austria. After her studies she took on a project on financial risk in the Tergooi hospital. Following the project she became an operational manager for the hospital. After 4 years of experience in Tergooi hospital she took on two ad interim projects in BovenIJ hospital to advice the Board of Directors on quality and safety matters. She is a member of the Young Forum Gastein Network, a network that bridges practice, policy and academia for the European Health agenda and a member of the technical committee on Leadership & Governance for the Health Standards Organization Canada. In her work she aims to bridge the gaps between practice, policy and academia.
